Calloused mind, calloused mind
Incessant falling has made me blind
Solid stone in place of bones - my seismic demise
Putrescent tumours in the mind
Waste of life
Wasting time
Time I can't rewind
Caught in patterns of behaviour I have the will to fracture
To come out swinging
To come out swinging hard
Staring inwards
My milieu, blighted
Soil tainted from the start
This contradiction, pointless blame, never who I want to be
I have strayed so far
I see no light, putrid lakes of tar
Am I cursed to burn this very heretical
Earth I tread
Earth I tread
My ignorance
Demonstrating
A lack of repentance
My ignorance
Demonstrating
A lack of repentance
My milieu, blighted
Soil tainted from the start
I see no light, putrid lakes of tar
Undiluted fervour
Need constricting every waking moment
War of attrition
A constant blight against yourself
Against yourself, against yourself
When your choices don't change things it all loses worth
Left to die in this wasteland
Marred by the ills of man
Left to die in this wasteland
I can see my point of failure
Crushed by the weight of my own fallacies
My blighted milieu, my undiluted fervour
Vision cascading, pounding waves of dissonance
I can see my point of failure
Crushed
Left to die in this wasteland
I can see my point of failure

I think the concluding song encapsulates what I most enjoy about this album: a defiant hopefulness that stands against the dark, determined to rise again when its knocked down, determined that it will know hope. archival_blob

Even for this genre the sheer intensity of this album always manages to floor me. Might not be the most unique album under the sun but it doesn't have to be; the performances are tight and ferocious, the songwriting is dynamic and explosive, the production is crushing, it's just all things to a mathcore fan. napalmsatan
